Lia Martin De la Rosa is an emerging visual artist based in The Netherlands since 2009.
She was born in Spain (1981). With 21 years of experience working at a high level in the international music business, she is a seasoned professional. For many years Lia has been mentoring, managing, and supporting other artists. And by being closely involved in the creative processes of each project, she unconsciously had her own artistic output. Her passion for creating has always been in her nature.
Lia plays an active role in writing, artistic direction, films, music production, show design, artworks, photography... She has been for most of her life involved with Arts at many levels.
At the age of 40, Lia gained a deep understanding of emotions, and how our childhood and life experiences constantly shape our character, and also how it all impacts our physical and mental health.
This is the inspiration behind her works when Lia felt the urge to turn her energy and emotions into painting. Reflexions about life, what really matters, and personal growth, portrayed throughout figurate pop art with a positive impact.
Lia works in multiple layers, creating a fantastic depth and texture in mixed media; acrylic paint, graffiti, oil sticks, collage… Controversial, and sometimes dark topics, expressed with bright colors. A contrast of emotions and a unique style, that many can relate to. Her works are recognizable and resonate with the feelings of each viewer.
